I saw a great band lately, a band who were tipped to be huge years ago and were on the edge of it when their drummer died, Hanoi Rocks, they were fantastic, a great party band, never a down moment during the set, I would definately recommend them to anyone who likes a good glam-rock band!

I wish I had that old poster I had as a teen....

*ahem*   Embarassed

Anyway, talking about naked, I saw Let Down by Bif Naked on the Kerrang channel, and I think it's pretty good - bit like a more rocked out version of Pink.  With more tattoos.  And black hair.  And..erm..well, ok she's nowt like Pink...

Oooer missus.

Ps.  She's done a cover of Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), bit girly and only heard 30 seconds of it, but still ok.

I've heard of Trivium. In fact I believe our designer is in a band which is about to go out and support them when they play in the UK.

As for GnR - Axl's a changed man    so I'm told. Having said that I have heard all the leaked songs from Chinese Democracy and don't much care for them.

Bring on The Cult though, one of the best British rock groups to never get the credit they deserve.

Trivium Smile  Just got their album and it's brilliant, if you want a taster of what they sound like, download "Pull Harder on the Strings of the Martyr".  Best heavy band to come out of the US since Metallica.  And despite being a die hard Metallica fan (up until black album), I would pick Trivium over them on my mp3 player.  Might just be because they're fresh though.

For (much) softer stuff, I've seen a couple of All American Rejects songs on the Kerrang channel, only a couple though, but I like them.  And I've got the latest Foo Fighters album, and The Darkness' new one too.  Tip of the top, crip of the crop.

As for GnR, dont hold your breath about those live shows.  Knowing Axl of recent years, he probably wont turn up.  And he's the only original member in the line up *lol*

I tend to get most of my songs as single Napster downloads, then buy the album if I like more than a couple of them on it.  So for example, I could say I like My Chemical Romance, but I've only heard two of their songs....

not the originals but a quality line up.

Ian Astbury
Billy Duffy
John Tempesta from White Zombie/Ozzy Osbourne on drums
Chris Wyse on bass.

They have a new website where Ian posts regularly

The Cult has re-formed?!

Who's in it?  All the originals?  (Sounds a dumb question now I look at it, but you know what I mean! Very Happy )

Does anyone have any recommendations who to be listening to, going to see or will be hearing more from this year?

For me -

Guns n Rose (or the Axl Rose band) are playing in the UK as are the re-formed The Cult and I would really like to see Queen with Paul Rodgers if possible.

Tipped for big things on the new bands front - I've got to go with Aristocrash (www.aristocrash.com).
