Very horsey person here.  Been involed for more years than I will admit to here; especially eventing and racing.  Tell us about your horses?

Sorry did not reply sooner, not been on this section 4 a while. down to one horse just now she is 3/4 arab 1/4 welsh chestnut mare, batty as a fruitcake. Had her full brother he was a beautiful bay but had to sell coz went back to college + two jobs so no time for both of them. Wish it had been the mare i sold seem to take two steps forward with training only for her to spin round and gallop 2 miles back!!!! broke them both in myself so maybe that has something to do with it. So what horses you got just now?

None at the present sold the yougster last year, he was only 5 and wasnt suitable for eventing so he went to a nice home and they love hime.

The old boy we sold 16 this year, we keep in touch with owners, is up for a new home again.  Poor old boy he is a bit sharp and they cant cope with hime so on the look out for a new dressage home for him.  He was a 3 day eventer and doesnt deserve to be moved around but he seems very happy so hopefully we can help to find him a new home.

Its heartbreaking when you have to let them go but sometimes its the best thing for them and maybe not you.

Hiya

Yes, I'm horsey.

Currently got a 12 year old bay 14.2 TBx dressage pony.  Love him to pieces!  Bless.  :)   Had to sell my last boy as he was a bit much for me!  Lovely horse, just a bit of a nut!

Hi I love Thouroughbred crosses, do you do dressage professionally or just for fun. I think it looks great but I don't have the patience to school,   prefer hacking and the odd bit of showjumping. I think I am still going to have to sell mine and get something a bit bigger and older for light hacking, I just don't have the time that my one needs.

Love show jumping myself, but a good tip is dressage is great for the groundwork required for SJ.  Get 'em supple and listening.  Just a thought.

Hi Mowglie.

Im a horse person too, have been for many years.
I used to help out with an Anglo Arab mare, Gemma
who had cataracts in both eyes, which meant she couldn,t
see very well.
A real sweetheart she was until Cassie a companion
(who had a foal by her side) kicked Gemma and
broke her nose, she wasn't quite the same horse again,
The blow had made her very nervous and jumpy when
anyone got near, which is not surprising.
Then not long after she was moved to another stable,
a horse there (with yet a foal by her side) kicked Gemma
shattering her in the leg, sadly she had to be put to sleep.
Gemma was a beautiful chestnut who didn't mix very well
with most horses. She would quite willingly walk behind
others especially Cassie who Gemma saw as a guide
in the field, she must have thought the other horse
was Cassie.

Hey horsey person here!!

I've been riding almost 7 years, never owned, but shared a stunning Welsh Sec D called Merlin.
Mostly I hack, and dressage, i'm an appauling jumper, but i'm fine at XC :S

I can also ride western pleasure, but ride english mostly.

Do you lot have any pics of your horses?

Hi Mowglie, as well as my dogs I own 2 young ponies. One is a 2 year old Fell Pony filly, the other a yearling filly, black and white gypsy type cob.
