no i havnt, i  just always heard they suffer from several problems but to be honest i have not done the research and have a litter of pupps to contend with at the moment but i wouldnt rule them out for the future.

well i guess different people have different experiences, I would just say the main thing for us is to keep an eye on them in the heat but i love them to bits. they are very comical to! what pups do you have? i would love to breed in the future but would need to do more research on it to make sure i would be up to it!

i have a litter of rough collies, there are photos on here if you look through.
Would it be bulldogs you breed if you do.

yes i would love to breed bulldogs although from breeder i have spoken to they are a fairly difficult breed to breed from as the man needs assistance and the pups are normally born by c section. yours are so cute! do you have trouble letting them go?

its been quite stressfull this time as holly was rather ill so we lost 3 out of the 7 born but should be thankful they are healthy and didnt lose mum.
I will find it hard to see them go but a friend is having one so will keep contact with her and still deciding if i should keep one but i just dont know, if one looks good show quality i may.

i am sorry to hear that it must be heart breaking but at least the mummy is ok. do you show then? that is something i am also interested in but it seems a bit you have to be 'in' with the right people-do you find this. i used to show horses and this was the same.

i was just starting to show my setter puppy but have been told she has bad hips so cant anymore which is why i would love to keep a pup to show, i too used to show horses but couldnt stand the bitching and i also know for a fact judges would get phone calls the night befroe a show asking how much it would cost them to win which is why i stuck to competeing instead of showing.

Hi

I'm a new poster with a bulldog. The main reason I joined this forum was to talk about the breed.

Alfie is 5 months now and is the best thing myself and my partner have done. Were thinking of getting a 2nd bulldog. This time would be a bitch but not for breeding. Alfie is from a good line but he is a pet and don't think we will ever show him.

He is currently weighing in about 3 and a half stone now. What does everyone elses bullies weigh in at the moment?

I know how you feel you start to get all broody for another even though you have got one, but make sure you wait until your boy is a bit older and castrated before getting a little girlie, frustrating isn't it my little man will be 7 months in Feb (DDB not bulldog), but i am waiting until he is about 14 months before looking into getting a new baby. My partner was keen in the beginning but had never owned a dog now i think he would kill if anyone tried to harm him or take him away they love each other so!

Good luck with your baby

Yeah we are talking about it but it wont be until March 2008. Were in the middle of selling our house to move to larger property with a bigger garden so it wouldnt be until then.

I love DDB too but just so big for our current house. There is a lad that comes in our local with his DDB and she is lovely. Its a very quiet little pub for locals and very friendly towards dogs coming in. My little Alfie loves her to bits and loves sitting with her.
