Title: Any Airedale Terrier lovers out there? Post by: CazAndrews on February 26, 2007, 03:20: PM Ok, so I cannot imagine my life without a dog in the future. It doesn't even bare thinking about. As soon as I can finally afford to give a four legged friend enough time, space and love there will be no stopping me. But I have a small problem, well it's quite big really - and in the shape of my OH :lol: He is not really a doggy person. He had a cocker spaniel when he was younger but is much happier with cats. It also doesnt help that he hates my taste in dogs - EBT, SBT,rottie etc... and i'm not particularly keen on the few dogs he points out that he kinda likes. Then we came across the Airedale Terrier and finally we have a dog that we both agree on! yay! :-D So now it would just be great to hear from anyone who owns or has owned (been owned by) one and to hear all the positives and negatives of letting one into your lives. It's a long way off yet, but it would just be interesting hearing about people's experiences! I'm going to go to Discover Dogs in Novemeber and see if I can't get him hooked - :-D

We've been together since we were 14 tho and live together at uni - so sort of married! haha! I think an Airedale would be great - but it would have to be a rescue still and there dusnt seem to be many breed rescue centres for them. Ulitmately tho, when the time comes I think I will just go to Battersea, or FOAL farm, Last Chance and let the staff tell me who they think is best for me - I'm not really all that fussed bout looks I just want to give a poor pooch a home and hope that he/she becomes my best friend!
