Horses for courses I suppose.  It's just I've always done it that way and have read and heard over the years that dry food can * possibly * exacerbate things IF you have a dog with a predisposition to kidney problems for example, so I suppose it just makes me feel more comfortable doing it this way given the things I've heard.  Can't harm.

Having said that I try to avoid feeding complete food in favour of a natural diet anyway...so mine aren't on it permanently...maybe three or four times per week.  But, if I can't be bothered to cut cheese up for trainng, I will sometimes grab a handful of dry complete biscuits and use those instead....
