this happens often especially if the stud dog is exceptional,  also so in breeds with small gene pools

  Hi,my rough collies hated that stuff.

i use a Pearson and Mason brush. 

but the comb thingy i use hasnt got any name on it.  cost about a fiver from a dog show.  Certainly rips into the dead coat.

is she coming in season??  if not she may have an infection so id pop her along to the vets

     glad i got the vet to do my dogs then.

i've had a dog some years that needed them emptied frequently, in the end we decided it would be better for her to have them removed, which she did , and she was fine.

900hrs is a long time?   LOL

its not really a brush more a comb i suppose.  rather lethal looking thing.

the one i use is probably more suitable for a rough collie or a breed with a similar coat. would not be ideal for  a lab.

its not only for pets either

i use something similar .  much cheaper
