We have recently been adopted by a beautiful 10 (?) year old stray welsh collie, Mollie. She is perfect in every way except for when we travel by car. We are ramblers and love to hike in the Lake District - an hours drive from our home - and would like to show Molly this beautiful part of the country. However, when we start driving she paces back and forth in the back of the car (we have a dog guard), whining. We are worried that she will give herself a heart attack.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and can offer us any advice or do we have to hang up our hiking boots?
We would rather not give Molly medication if this can be avoided.
Thanks
Jan
