yes there are other breeds that are 'dangerous' top of my listt would be JRTS, Yorkies & chihuahuas however they are not on the dangerous dogs list & therefore are not subject to the same rules & regulations as your dogs. personally i would say the 'copper' was speaking out of his behind & didnt know what he was talking about, i do know & understand this law & if anyone in authority saw your dog then he would be at risk of euthanasia. also why are you waiting until he is 2 to castrate him- i take it that is what you mean by 'chopping'? yes castrate im waiting till 2 because when i took him to get his injections they said they couldnt do it thats the only time ive had to take him to the vets at the moment and when his 2 he will need booster ect Truthfully if i didnt give two donkeys for my dog i wouldnt have done all this after i had trouble with the vet saying i shouldnt chip him, then with his booster they said they couldnt castrate him

i didnt go out looking for a pit bull and i aint going to see it fighting in the local park so i think some people are actually gratefull i got the pup rather then leave it with its father and mothers owners
doesnt matter- he is still illegal & you are very lucky he hasnt been taken off you & PTS.
well he has been seen by many police officers and he is chipped, he now wears muzzle unless his in garden/house, and his due to be chopped when his 2 years old so im doing everything by the book if i needed a certificate i would get one but the copper told me i dont need it that be wrong dont you think? i know plenty other dogs other then "pit like" that have attacked kids over and over again(my old yorkie once attacked a child because his new owners had no control) and its never on the news why? because they aint "banned" i can bring this up cause i also have proof

My dogs a "pit bull" type dog and i could NEVER leave him on his own with a child he hasn't shown any signs that his going to attack(except once because a man was talking to my niece) yes its a shame whats happened but what exactly is in these parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents/friends mind to leave a child with a dog no matter how small the dog is or "friendly" dogs get irritable as much as humans its ashame because dogs like mine(he scared of my new budgies )get looked down on

I am going to press for charges if I can. My old dog was never on his lead, but he had 100% recall, stuck to my side at all times, and never left it whilst walking, unless playing fetch, then he would be straight back. He never botherd other dogs or people, because he loved his rugby ball too much.
I think we are going to end up right back to square one. Good on you for pressing charges(im sure you can) and i hope she makes speedy recovery and gets her confidence back asap:)

hope the owner gets what they deserve
yes i agree it aint about what breed the dog is its about WHO owns them and how they been brought up

He loves bones but his not 2 so cant give them him we did when he was a puppy when he was teething but vet told us to stop till his two now we get him pigs ears (wish i could do sick emotion) and then bones that you get from pet shops another 6 months and he will be having atleast 3 bones a week

There was two pit bulls living around here. The owner ended up with £1000 fine and the dogs were PTS. Because he hadnt kept to the rules for having a dog which is on the DDA. They were nice dogs, but the owener upset someone, and then got reported..byebye dogs. Sorry just not a risk I would be willing to take. I know Kerrie has some aggressive tendencies with people, so I muzzle her. She hates it, and people give us filthy looks, I would rather that and have my dog safe.
I thought pit bulls would all be out of the country by now? werent they all supposed to be neutered? His mom and dad are mixed(bull dog and pit) but the owner of them has just brought a real pitt from ireland they fighters i dont agree with it dogs aint here to fight i will muzzle him if i ever go area were theres kids(i take him to a field) i will never let him off the lead no matter what unless i had a garden that can be a farm
