Wow - fantastic pics folks Very Happy

Just off on a slight tangent to the theme, here's soggy doggy pics - Sky's been playing in the garden, because she loves the rain  Rolling Eyes and now she's sulking because I called her back in!

Wet through

"Hmmph.  Why did I have to come in?"

"Nope, not talking to you"

She's daft, she still thinks she's a pup, although the arthritis would suggest otherwise (notice small lick sore - now healed but bald - on back leg in second pic). Shocked

Ahhh,
mutilation unlike docking, whipping a dogs wotsits off is the answer to everything.

Actually I was asking from a dog welfare kind of stance.  I personally believe all dogs should be neutered, unless there is a medical or behavioural reason not to.  It's not aesthetics I'm thinking of, as would be the case if someone was intending to dock.

But yes, it could help stop humping in many dogs.

I've asked folks not to resotr to personal attacks.  If neither side will comply, then that leaves me no choice.

Thread locked.

I find it laughable that you could complain about name calling.  Just because I put that on the main forum, rather than in the pm box, doesn't make me the hypocrite

Locking this.

I'm not just saying this to this one person, I'm asking everyone to act the better person.

Can we please not resort to personal attacks?  Let's leave this thread on the topic of e-collars, rather than personal bickering

Time for us all to be the bigger person, and let this feeling of proving others wrong go.  No need to stoop to the same level.
25  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / E-collars at Crufts on: March 12, 2006, 02:34: PM
Why would I want to think of any?  I dont sell them so why should I prove they're not liable?

As for your examples, here's a list of some disclaimers, being brought about by idiots misusing then suing the company.  That's a fad started by the US I believe, like the fat girl suing McDonalds for making her that way

I thought it might be nice to share pics of our dogs enjoying the snow Smile

Earlier, the garden was covered in unblemished snow....

Then, animal tracks suddenly appeared...

Faster than a speeding bullet, more tracks appeared, the animal who left them was too quick to be caught on film...

Then all of a sudden, a blur shot across in front of us...and paused to shake snow from it's fur...

No, it wasn't a yeti.....it was Sky, the aging lurcher who pretends to be arthritic, but gave the game away this afternoon - chasing snowballs ;D

Bless her, she's knocking on now, a creaky old crow - but she still has the energy of a pup at times, doing the Wall of Death around the garden/living room/kitchen...etc etc  Laughing

The difference between an e-collar and a Jaguar being that you have to prove you have a license to get a Jaguar.

I'll give you a chance to think of a better example
28  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / E-collars at Crufts on: March 12, 2006, 02:51: AM
Hmm maybe the deception was necessary.  How many e-collar salesfolks will wittingly sell an e-collar to someone to use on a TV show?  I bet it aint many Laughing

I'd have sent her packing if she couldn't give more info - did she not offer any info about the trainer?  It's pretty sad that someone could just ring you and you'd send out the most powerful e-collar you've got, based on a phone call.  Thank god the dog didn't exist!
29  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / Crufts photos - from thursday! on: March 11, 2006, 03:10: PM
Sheesh I should have known that Rolling Eyes  Who looks a pratt now?  Yes, me...

I dont think Sky's IG though - unless she's a freaky giant one

Awww the leonberger is identical to my neighbours Smile

And the blue and white whippet, so like Sky that I'm sure she has whippet in her!

That pic is a couple of years old though.  She's much "greyer" now around her markings.
