Awww @ the GD and DDB, and of course, the Ibizans.  Absolutely gorgeous!  I'm very jealous, did you have a good time?

And who won?

I come on when I get a spare mo.  Currently in the process of kitting out new snail tanks, my parents have been over, and the triplets are evil at the moment - so spare time's been sparse Laughing

Argumentative, where :

I didn't see anything argumentative myself.  If Lou's referring to the smileys and "LOL"s, then I guess the same rule should apply for all, Lou.

Everyone, please, keep it grown up - or I'm getting the fire hose out...

36  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Controversial / Prong collar debate on: March 06, 2006, 12:51: AM
Forgive me if I'm slow on this...but if you agree (Lou) that dogs feel things differently from humans, why does everyone pro e-collar/prong/choke say "Have you tried one on yourself?" or "They dont hurt - I know because I've tried one on myself"...?

Always makes me wonder, 'tis all

Trivium Smile  Just got their album and it's brilliant, if you want a taster of what they sound like, download "Pull Harder on the Strings of the Martyr".  Best heavy band to come out of the US since Metallica.  And despite being a die hard Metallica fan (up until black album), I would pick Trivium over them on my mp3 player.  Might just be because they're fresh though.

For (much) softer stuff, I've seen a couple of All American Rejects songs on the Kerrang channel, only a couple though, but I like them.  And I've got the latest Foo Fighters album, and The Darkness' new one too.  Tip of the top, crip of the crop.

As for GnR, dont hold your breath about those live shows.  Knowing Axl of recent years, he probably wont turn up.  And he's the only original member in the line up *lol*

I tend to get most of my songs as single Napster downloads, then buy the album if I like more than a couple of them on it.  So for example, I could say I like My Chemical Romance, but I've only heard two of their songs....

40  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Dog Behaviour and Training Issues / E Collars on: February 27, 2006, 11:12: PM
With all due respect, I think that the person you're complaining about hasn't made anywhere near the amount of inflammatory posts as the person removed from the group, or been as rude.

I dont believe you're intentionally rude to anyone Lou, and I personally appreciate having someone who can usually be polite and helpful in their posts also.  But I do feel that there seems to be a need to fight your fight repeatedly, and I do understand that can be due to other people - but in general, it's getting tiring to keep upbeat about it when every thread ends up this way.

I may just be feeling like that because I'm feeling like crap, but please - could we all - me included - have one thread where we dont descend to bickering and proving each other wrong?  How about accepting other people's views (obviously not any personal attacks of course) and saying - "one less in our favour, but we'll make more by being friendly and unconfrontational"?

You know Lou I have said before, if I was needing advice about this kind of training, you'd be my first stop.  But I'm so tired of all these threads now.  I'm going back to bed... Sad

Ps.  My request is still the same.  Can both sides please try and keep it less aggressive?

I just want to point out that this moderator, despite having food poisoning this week, and now tonsillitis, did manage to make it onto the thread to ask both sides of the argument to stop the bickering or take it to pm/email.

I cant watch the site 24 hours a day, I do nip in as and when I can, and on 99% of occasions there's been no bother.  Until this topic was raised again.

Maybe those posting could look into themselves to see that it's better to take a step back, and ignore the comments deliberately posted to raise emotions/anger.  That goes for both sides.

Hate 'em.  And that newspaper story (people.co.uk) said this:

Other strange mixes such as Labradoodles - a cross between a Labrador and poodle - can have a practical purpose as their hair is less likely to trigger allergic reactions in owners.

Argh - doesn't anyone ever learn it's the dander in most cases.  No dog is allergen free.  'Tis a con!  Rolling Eyes

Hiya Lucy and welcome to the nuthouse    Very Happy

Gorgeous dogs you have there!  I'm owned by a lurcher called Sky.  She's grumpy some days, soppy others, but always silly and usually naughty.  In a "well behaved but pretend I dont hear mum when she calls me in/tells me to get off her bed with wet paws" kind of way. Rolling Eyes  Laughing

Anyhoo hope you enjoy the site Smile
