481  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Breed Specific / New Debate - The Cleverest Breed on: June 19, 2003, 07:59: AM
I dont know about the cleverest, but I can tell you which the dimmest are.  My two.
Example from other day:
"Sky, come" (Badger appears)
"Badger, come" (Sky appears)
Do I care?  Naaa. Laughing

How cpme more options have been added yet I cant change my vote?!
Ahh well, there's another poll that's exactly the same....
483  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Dog Behaviour and Training Issues / Poll On e-Collars: Results To Be Published In K9 Magazine on: May 29, 2003, 09:16: AM
I'm not bothered about the site's free speech, good on you - I am bothered about certain members of the site using that to abuse people.
I think someone telling the board I sleep with animals is slightly more than just free speech, and in that case moderation should have come into effect.  I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but as free speech was mentionned, and nothing has happened to the poster who said these things, (I am assuming it wont either), and this seems to be the only post that K9 media can answer to, then I thought it would be better than posting a new one.
I dont agree with the guest, the site shouldn't be banned.  I think it should be moderated.  That's what they're for, right?  Moderators that is.  Perhaps even marked as an adult site?  I wouldn't want my kids coming here and getting told they have unnatural relationships with animals, for certain.
I've tried to put up with it, I've even tried to get it sorted out with the moderators, but it seems this person is a little closer than just a regular member, as he seems to have immunity from the moderators and can say just about anything he likes.
Training a dog with your penis, calling someone an alcoholic for disagreeing with him, suggesting someone was using magic mushrooms when they had only asked a simple question, and what he said about me.  Calling KathyM a dickhead, calling her a stupid woman, and suggesting Sky could be rented out for personal satisfaction!  :  Exclamation  Shocked
But you're right, if I dont like the site, I should go elsewhere, the only reason I stayed so long was because I assumed that someone might, just might, do something about it.
Thanks for the....interesting few weeks I've been here, but I dont think this is the place for me.... Sad
484  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Dog Behaviour and Training Issues / Poll On e-Collars: Results To Be Published In K9 Magazine on: May 23, 2003, 10:21: AM
I think you'll find they did come, but then it was all reset.
Personally I think that the results from this wont be accurate as to what a cross section of society would think about electric shock collars.
Maybe it could be posted in the magazine instead - that way at least the readers might get an unbiased account.
And a for voting twice, I've been unable to do so, but I have a gut feeling there are some who have (perhaps different usernames but the same person), so really this poll could be void
485  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Dog Behaviour and Training Issues / Poll On e-Collars: Results To Be Published In K9 Magazine on: May 21, 2003, 07:33: PM
I personally think you're wasting your time trying to get a non-biased cross section of society on here.
Perhaps you could run the poll as part of another issue so the readers can choose.  It is fairly obvious to anyone visiting this site that it is a pro-ecollar and punishment site, and you're never going to get a non-biased view here, only one of those promoting (and selling) the ecollar.
Just out of interest, when someone votes once, is it off that username, or ISP?  Not for my purposes, I've voted, but it seems to me like some people might be getting to vote more than once.
