1  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / Re: Dog walks in the rain on: January 14, 2007, 08:10: PM
i've just bought an equafleece for both of mine. they aren't water proof but water resitant. the girls swim in theirs and are dry when we get home. they are also good for keeping dogs warm and dry after a bath.

they weren't cheap but well worth it. the girls love their new jumpers as they know they are going out to get mucky  Very Happy the jumpers just go straight in the wash afterwards and are air dryed by the next walk.

Thanks i ordered one on line today should be here by Tuesday.

To late!!!!! they started last night (Sunday 21st OCtober) i think it was kids as the fire works were going off up our street not in any one's back garden. and they were really low as the flashes were level with the lounge window. scared the hell out of me let alone the girls. for the rest of the evening i shared the setee with five shaking cockers and three cats that looked like they'd had electric shocks.
it's a pity we can't have a "ONE NIGHT OF FIREWORKS" rule.

8  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / omg what is it with owners on: October 19, 2006, 07:04: AM

i have had 3 labs and none have ever been fat, yes they may live for food but they had breakfast and tea and plenty to chew but not swallow during the day, they were kept mentally stimulated without the need for constant eating, the owner is in controll of the food so therefore if you have a fat dog its your fault not the dogs.

well said Hennaly i agree
there was a lab on telly last night it could hardley walk it was so fat. i grew up with labs and yes they love their food but it's not like they make their own dinner! it's down the owner how much food the dog is allowed to eat.
9  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / totally innocent question on: October 19, 2006, 05:57: AM
it was an innocent question. i wanted other peoples views. i use the kennel club but don't like the way they don't keep track of things and i wanted other peoples views on the KC. a few of the other breeders i know take liberitys as they know the KC won't follow up and they don't really care about their dogs. i wanted to see how others felt about this!!! how is that not innocent?

So much for an innocent question.

OMG cocker mum..   Gosh how could anyone do that Shocked  Shocked .   Having done everything by the book like you,   one has to question how can they live with the guilt. I couldn't.

i know but they don't think what they are doing is wrong... and they always have the "correct" paperwork if anyone ever goes round to check!!!!!!

13  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / General Dog Chat / totally innocent question on: October 18, 2006, 04:33: PM
wow.... what happened when i went out to work today this posting got busy... thanks for all the info. i have to say though that i'm still not happy about lining the KC pockets but i just can't bring myself to sell unregistered puppies. as i no there is no way i would buy an unregistered dog.
i know another breeder who registers an extra female puppy in each litter.(keeping that paper work) they then keep a female from said litter the same colour as the fake puppy. so bitches can be bred on every season and even if the KC did monitor they would never know which bitch had, had the litter the real one or the fake one(make sense?).
also i have heard of a breeder who registers all litters to the same Champion sire. but he rarely sires a litter she uses a different dog the same colour. same breeder charges £50 extra if you want your puppy KC registered!!!!!!!
This all drives me mad Evil or Very Mad  as i try my hardest  and do everything by the book and also explain to prospective owners not to buy unregistered puppies.
