ok i dont know if this is what u mean but here it is.

 meet the ENGLISH WIRED RETRIEVER

the origin of the breed
the english wired retriever was first bought in to the uk in 2007 by a miss bryony smith, who gave to k9media as a gift. it then later became a big hit in the uk and the breed spread to the us in 2009 when it was introduced at crufts. the breed came from years of crossing six breeds untill it reach where it is today.
it started off as a Italian spinone cross standard poodle to which a dog with a good bone but with a very light and firm movement with a strong like of water and gun-work, then it was later breed with a blood hound and Canaan Dog which is when the breed really came in to its own with a grate want to do  gun-work but  with having such good ability for scent work, it was cabable of many tasks. there are also lots of references of adding the blood lines of the standard schnauzer and the Portuguese water-dog which added a waterproof and the wiry coat we see today. the last recorded bloodline added to this wonderful breed was the Labrador retriever which added so much to the end breed such as a loving and loyal dog with a good body and brain for working in the field.

St. poodle for brains and corisma and loyalty
Labrador retriever workability and companionship , with a good under coat
Italian spinone for the good coat and temperament
blood hound for scent work and for strong body and good bone
St. schnauzer for digging and searching and protecting
Canaan Dog for a strong jaw and alert mind
Portuguese Water Dog can cope in all terranes especially well in and around water

11  The DogChat.co.uk Discussion Forum / Diet / Re: Why do people like Burns? on: February 15, 2007, 06:22: PM
befor i fed teddy burns  he was on bakers which was filled with crap, he had blocked anel glands and was losing fur and itched like mad, moved him to burns with no add coulers or preservitives, he stopped itching and hair grew back and as his poo was firmer he did his glands him self Smile

i have recomend burns to every one that has had health problems from ear infections to hair loss and itching Smile

its nice knowing that ur not feeding ur dogs rubbish that i wouldnt want to eat my self Smile

i know a lot of dogs dont need as much protien that there is in some dog food i no in lhasa if they have to much protien then they get very hot which can cause itching and pulling har out to try and cool them selfs but each dog has diffrent requirements. jameswell be loved is also very like burns but is good for lrger working dogs Smile

xxxx

if there was a reason that i couclnt feed raw any more i would go back with burns

hi there when i got my lhasa apso he was on bakers complete little did i know how full of rubbish enubers coulers presevites  there is loads of proten in it as well.

my little boy started to have problems scratching and with anel glands as well he was skinny and i couldnt get him to put any waight on. someone told me the crap thats in it like beet pulp and other things most dogs are alergic to and i moved him over to burns if i was a dog who had to eat dried food i would eat burns lol by the time he had eaten a small sack of it 2.5kg his scratching had stoped and he was looking so much better. also when on the bakers he had really soft poos his theeth where all brown and really humming breath.

i have now got him on a natural diet of raw meat and raw bones and well iv never seen him look so good, his teeth are white his ;oos are firm and hard how hey should be and because of this his glands re emptyed every time he gose so no more problems with tha either.

i no  that the james well beloved is like the burn but  is more ideal for lager breeds Smile  if u look up burns there is a website and u can get some free samples and they send u a £5 off voucher to be used with any sized sack of food i did ths when i got it i bought the 2.5 kg i think it was only cost me like £1 as i had the voucher Smile
