A very good post K9media.

I fear you might be wrong about the dog fighting bit tho.
I had heard non fighting dogs are used to  Twisted Evil kind of warm up the crowd before the big show  Twisted Evil It truly doesn't bare thinking of.
I really really wish something could be done about these animals (the ones without four legs) It makes me feel physically sick to think how some people behave.

That's brilliant! i'd love to have two dogs that were so devoted!

I think Molly (Golden) will tolerate anything and Yemi knows a good thing when she sees it  Laughing

I think a lot of people don't believe me when I say how they sleep and to be honest I didn't expect them to still be doing it when Yemi was near enough full grown.

Thanks for the welcome  Very Happy

As far as I am aware they are only one of two breeds in which the KC specifies they are good with children.

This is one of the reasons I got Yemi.
I spent months reading around the internet when I decided to get another dog. I had never really given much thought to getting a Staff as I was never fond of their appearance  Embarassed Yes I wanted something fluffy and cute  Rolling Eyes
However my main concern was getting a dog with a good reputation with kids. Which brought me back to Staffs every time. I took my son (5 years ) with me when I went to view Yemi. I didn't even look at the puppies until I had spent time with their mom. Once I had decided their mom was a brilliant dog. I looked at the puppies and Yemi chose me  Very Happy
The best thing I ever did.

I'm sure I will enjoy chatting with you all.

I have spent ages reading around your site. I'm going to look and see if you have a forum for doggy photos. I do love looking at who owns who  Laughing

Edit. that's a clever feature, "warning 2 more replies since i started typing"

Thanks Riley and Caz  Very Happy

Yes, here it is. It's a really bad photo  Embarassed I had to take it through the window because if they see me they move. I have no idea why they sleep like this. They have done it since the day I got the Staff. They do it both outside and in  ??: i guess they are just inseparable

Yes I have a bigger version. It was taken a while back now when the Staff was a lot smaller. She still sleeps on top of the golden  Rolling Eyes and she we weighs a ton now.

I'll post it here. If that's OK,

I took some more photos of Yemi on her live rug  Laughing yesterday I will see if they are any good.

I just wish something could get done with the idiots that use them as a macho image rather than the loving wee dogs they can be.

I couldn't agree more. I have a Staff, the first I have owed. She is nearly one now and is the brightest dog I have every owned. By far the best in our obedience class and so loving  Very Happy
