Plum?  Don't you mean 'plums'? ha ha Laughing

Basically, when baby dogs are born, their testicles are still up in their bodies and they will gradually descend into the scrotum as the dog gets older.  Once they are fully descended and both danglers can be seen, then you can arrange to have them chopped off, at about 6 months old.

My Westie dog was done at 6 months old and now he is 19 months old and he is still an airheaded baby dog, so there may be some truth in early neutering preventing maturing.

Laughing danglers!!! Brilliant!
ellieangel. Molly was 4 and half when I noticed her bedding was getting soaked after she had been asleep, even for just 10 minutes. Apparently its the muscle around something that has become weak. (I did know but Im old, so bear with me!) The vet tried her on 1 tablet a day, reduced to half to see how she went.  Molly is 6 now. I forgot to get some more tablets in March this year, and when I realised, I thought I would see how long she would go without wetting, hoping that it might have sorted itself out. 2 weeks ago the bedding was wet again, so she is now on half a tablet again. I dont like long term medication, but she obviosly needs it.
Still smiling at 'Danglers'!!

Both mine are 'done'. Dylan was about 7 or eight months, and Mabel was done soon after we got her at six months before her first season. It took Dylan about three weeks to notice that they were missing, the look on his face was a picture he stood up and looked on the floor and under the settee to see where he had dropped them....

All 3 of mine are done.  Gypsy a week after I got her at 2yrs.  Archie at 10 months and Sophie was done at 5 months.  Puppies are the last thing I need.
All the cats are done too.

Shocked  I am well and truly not able to any more thank goodness otherwise that would be really worrying info!

Mittenz - both of mine were done on the NCDL voucher scheme (for those on benefits, am currently on the sick, thanks to my triplets!), so cost me £20 each.  Buffy our previous dog was quoted at £180 (she was a greyhound so they need special anaesthetic, usual bitch spey is between £60 and £100 ish depending on where you live).
Sky (female) was very shaky and sore for the first couple of days (quicker to recover when younger apparently).  She was vomitting overnight from the anaesthetic, but was ok and drinking again the next day.  Back to "normal" in a few days, but had to rest for 10 days.
Badger was back to normal by the next morning, and was a real handful to keep resting - ten days also Smile
