Seeing as we don't have a chat room I thought we could occasionally have a good old gas in messenger. I have it in the Mac version; it used to work fine, but now all I get is a message saying that either the service isn't available or that I'm not connected to the internet. People I know on another board seem to be using it well enough, but I had been wondering if MSN messed with it when they closed all their chatrooms : : Anyway, mine isn't working  Snorri  |

Messenger is still working, it's just some of the main chatrooms that have been closed or changed to subscription only. The Canada rooms are still open btw. Messenger link: http://messenger.msn.co.uk/ |

I've discovered what's wrong with mine, I think. They seem to have discontinued recognition of MSNM for any Mac computer running on anything earlier than OS 9.2.2
I use OS 9.1.0, so there is no longer a working version for me, it appears.
If anyone else is in this position, there's always Yahoo IM and AOL's "AIM", both of which work on Mac and PC. You don't have to be on AOL to use AIM, and it gives access to a lot of the AOL chatrooms, etc., I think one could be created that anyone could use??
