i have a chihuahua named fifi. sad to say i found out she has parvo...  Sad
but im giving her ALOT of pedyalite. i also ordered this medicine that alot of people and websites confirmed made their pets survive. just a word of advice, get your dog a parvo shot so it never gets it.

i would post a pic of her but i dont know how to...

How much do you class as expensive?  What you'd pay for a dog can be nothing compared to vets bills.

As Lisa said, the purchase price is only the start!
If you can`t afford to pay for a well bred dog how are you going to pay for everything else your dog needs?

Ofcourse getting a rescue dog makes for a cheaper purchase price - and is very comendable when there is a dog in need - but the rest of the costs won`t change.

I don`t even dare to add up what my three guys cost me each year, but however much it is they are worth it!

it isnt a matter of not being able to afford the dog once i have it, the reason for wanting it to be cheap is that i dont want to contribute to the silly prices soaring for dogs out there because of so called "fashion accessories" i would rather get a dog that needs a home such as a rescue dog which would only really involve a donation, or a dog that needs to be rehomed through no fault of its own. I can see both sides on this but I can sympathise with you Kirsty,I have a friend who lost her little Chi last year and was astonished at the ridiculous prices being asked for Chi's from breeders,£1,500 seems an average price at the moment Shocked she is also struggling to find Chi's in rescue, don't give up though mate

There is  a litter on adtrader site. for much less. Not sure why they would be so cheap tho.  Also a 4yrd old  male for £200.
