Hi people , this is my first visit to this site. I have just got a 9 mth old brindle staffy called Titon. Although he is good with other dogs, other male dogs do not seem to like him could anyone explain to me why this may be.
He is a lovely dog with a lovely temperment and the only thing I have noticed that he doesnt like is cats.

Congrats on your new staffie - any piccies?

Is he neutered?  Other entire males might see him as competition if he's entire - but I'm no behaviour expert, that's just an idea Embarassed

I have a stafford called bullet he is two and he doesnt like cats or other male dogs. When he was younger he got bitten in the park by another dog. When we took him to the vets he had to have stiches, they asked if we wanted him neutered but we said no. This is why he dont get along with other male dogs. Im not sure why other dogs dont get on with yours it could do with allot of things like terriotry.
I dont agree with a dogs being neutered as other dogs can still bite my dog. Its so my dog doesnt attack another which he has never done! If he has been bitten or had a fight in the past its probably to do with that if not try socailsing your dog with other dogs more.

most dogs don't like my staffie even tho he loves other dogs, i think it is because he is very in ur face dog and he can be quite pushy. sometimes i think he is a bit of a bully even tho he is never aggressive
