Hi, before i had my American Bulldogs i had Rotties. My first Rottie had been abused by the man who owned her, he kicked her in the face, shattering her jaw, he had beaten her, and fractured her legs!!! I will never forgive him for what he did to her! She was such a fantastic dog, and when i had my son she fell in love with him as soon as she laid eyes on him! She would always lie as close as she could to him, and was in her element when he would stroke her or rub his feet in her fur. I miss her so much! I cant fault her! I could take her anywhere, she loved going in the car, she loved sun bathing and most of all she loved me and my son! I hate all the attitude that people give you when you own Rotties! I was told that you cant have Rotties with kids, what a load of COBBLERS!! Anyway sorry for rambling on, i just love Rotties! Ozzy xxx

When i was a child i had a bad experience with a rottie. I was on my way to school with my mum when this huge rottie appeared and started growling at us we calmly crossed over the road and continued walking the next thing we knew this dog came running over and bit my mum on her leg She was shouting at it to go away then a man appeared and whacked it with a broom. My mum had to have stiches and after that i was terrified of rotties i wouldnt even walk on the same side of the road as one. Until about 5 years ago i went to a friends aunties and she had this huge. slightly over weight rottie named tara. She was the softest most cuddly and loveable dog id ever seen. I think she made me realise that they're not all aggresive maneaters as portrayed by people and the media and i thankfully i can actually go near them without being terrified. Just thought i'd share that with you!

Hiya chuckie bids, ozzy_iv ramble all you like we love it!! Will you get another? Have you got a dog at the minute. Its a glorious day here in Yorkshire and i have been out in the sun this afternoon with my lot when i see them running across the fields together it makes me want to cry i am so happy ( how sad does that make me!!) Anna thats a lovely post, its so nice to hear from people who have been turned around like that, what about your mum though?> Do you think she will ever get over it?? You should take her to meet the Rott you made friends with and show her they arent all like the one that bit her. I went to see one of my puppies yesterday, she is so happy and content and the owners worship her, i get so much pleasure out of seeing how these gorgeous creatures enhance peoples lives i have met so many friends and stay in touch with all my puppy owners. My house is a bit mad at the moment as i have 3 under the age of 2 and they are a big trio of fun and games Bye for now, must go and snog the lips off my Rotts!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys! yes i would definately have another Rottie because i love them to pieces and so does my 2 year old son!! They are fantastic dogs! If you get chance email me some pics of your babies i woould love to see them! At the moment i have 5 dogs - Phoenix is a Rottie X, she is 2 years old. Then my 4 American Bulldogs are - Oz who is 15 months old, Taya who is 10 months old, and Maximus and Sasha ( brother and sister ) who are 5 months old. I think that when my son is older he will want a Rottie anyway. Atleast i know he will never grow up with an attitude problem towards big dogs and will never be scared of them Ozzy xxx

hi all, I was just reading through all the posts right from the beginning and I realised I havent given you all an update on the dogs which I seemed to be constantly going on about in all the posts. Dimple is absolutely GREAT!!! No lamenes and really doing well. I would not have her x-rayed again just to see waht happened to the cancer but as far as I am concerned it is most definitely in remission. Ginty had 9 beautiful babies, I kept a bitch we called her Piper after the champagne she is gorgeous VERY naughty. I am very sad to report that Asti my oldest girl and granma to all died last year she was nearly 12 I still miss her she was the sweetest dog in the world. any questions on anything else I left in mid air just ask BYE

That is too true!!! Its fatal going to see puppies! A lady that works with my dad, her daughters Rottie has not long had pups, so far i have resisted the urge to go and see them because i know that as soon as i see them i will want one and that if my son saw them he would want one aswell! How are things with your fur babies? Ozzy xxxx

My mob are really good thaks for asking Ozzi. Although yesterday i got some really sad news, the sister of my 2 oldest Rotts died with bone cancer they will be 10 this June. I am just digging out a card to send to her owner as she is distraught. I cried a lot yesterday and I havent seen her since she was about 2 years old. They are SO precious as I get older I am affected even worse by their deaths. I am totally convinced that each time one of my sweet, tender, gentle bears leaves me they take a little piece of me with them. What a softy I am I am welling up just typing this. Hope everyone else out there is enjoying their Rotts to the limit, because as sure as anything they do not live long enough!!! Much Love

I came across dog chat couple of months ago and have looked in a few times. Absolutley overjoyed to find Rottie fans I have a rottie x alsation who I have owned for six years and just got a new 2 Year old Rottie boy about a month ago. I think it is time this breed is less misunderstood to the general public but am slightly concerned about all the breeding going on.
