OMG, What a horrible, horrible person  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad

I'd have killed somebody who did that to my dog, I know thats a stupid thing to do but my life is worth living if my dogs are not in it.

Although I'm not going to vote on the site as we're only hearing one side of the story, I do want to pass on my condolences for the loss of your beautiful dogs.  No dog should have to die like that - and I'm so sorry. Sad

Without knowing how the dogs ended up in the field, and what circumstances led the farmer to shoot them, I cant vote as to whether he should be prosecuted or not - although personally speaking, I would be extremely angry if this had happened to my dog and I think the farmer must have gone way beyond being the responsible person he should be if allowed a gun!  But without knowing the full story, and why the dogs were loose, it's hard to work out the whys and wherefores.  Were they not supervised - did they escape or something?

But yes - I'd think that someone who did that just for the hell of it should be prosecuted.  I think it goes way beyond what someone would do if they were being attacked (I'm not saying he was - but that would be the only reason I'd think could in some circumstances be necessary to do that).  But it would also be a stark reminder to people that dogs should be supervised when out loose - as however innocent and well trained your lovely dogs were, there'd be someone else's dog out there roaming the streets/countryside who wasn't - and in that case, it could be the owners at fault too.

I can't see anything about a farmer on the site.  When I go into it, it says "Register your views and disgust" then gives a police address, and underneath details how the site owners are not breeders but their bitch has been caught twice by accident and their other bitch is going to be bred from once.

I thought that whatever it is might be under the heading on the left of "Do not view deaths" but that just brought up a virus warning (lucky I am on the computer at work hey!   )

Theirs no virus must be some sort of adware you got as I have had to agree to be sponsored by ads to increase my bandwith as it is a free site.

Could you keep your rude PMs to yourself please eskview.

I did not say "there is a virus",  I said that when I opened the relevant part of your website, it came up with a virus warning.

A pop up appeared with the words "Virus Warning!" at the top.  I didn't hang around to read any more after that, so I don't know whether it was an ad.  Evil or Very Mad .

I'd just like to point people towards our PM guidelines:

http://www.dogchat.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3081

Let's keep this place the friendly forum it's become - a good piece of advice I've been given in the past was - if you read something, and it gets you really angry/upset, take ten minutes away from the computer, come back when you're calmer, and read it again.  9 times out of 10, it's just a simple misunderstanding

I dont think Jet was warning people not to read the site, I think she was just commenting that she couldn't read it because her computer came up with a warning.
