TO EVERYONE CONCERNED WITH THE WELFARE OF DOGS -

I have tried everything possible to locate my Black Labrador - Rescue Centres, Dog Wardens, Posters, Kennels, Dogs Lost and Found Web Sites.  I have been in local newspapers and even on television - and I have offered a substantial reward.

All to no avail yet.  He could, by now, be anywhere in the Country.  My last desperate attempt is to try to obtain help from any relevant source.  When you have seen the enclosed poster, would you be so kind as to forward this to as many others as you can manage.  If everyone helps in this way, the 'snowball' effect will get the sort of coverage that could get him back home.  If possible, would you also be so kind as to print a copy of the poster and display it somewhere.

Also, I would ask all recipients to ask themselves:

Have I come into contact with a dog like this suffering from Epilepsy?

Have I recently seen a large, abandoned, adult dog like this?

Have I noticed someone who suddenly has such a dog?

Has someone recently, innocently, purchased a similar dog?

Do I know of a similar dog being offered for sale?

PLEASE HELP.  Please forward this on to as many others as possible.  Your co-operation will go a long way to relieving my anguish and, hopefully, finding my dog.

This e-mail is absolutely genuine and is not, in any way, a spoof or false.  My contact number is on the poster.

Stolen Dog
George was stolen from his home in North Hampshire on the 5th March 2005. He is a 4 year old, Black Labrador and has been neutered. George is a very large 'classic type' lab, with a big square shaped head, as opposed to the more 'pointy' gun dog shape. He has been mistaken as a Rottweiller cross because of his size. He was wearing a collar and tag when he was taken, but unfortunately wasn't micro-chipped.

 Needs Medication
George suffers from epilepsy and needs medication from the vets to control his seizures.

 Owner Heartbroken
George has been with me since he was 12 weeks old and he is my best friend and was my constant companion, these last few weeks without him have been the worst in my life. I urge anyone who has him, or may know where this dog is, to please get in touch with me on 07867 603568 or e-mail me at cmcmerritt@aol.com. I am offering a £1000 reward for any information leading to his return - NO QUESTIONS ASKED

I thank you in anticipation (and apologise if you have received this more than once).

I think animal testing is a terrible idea. They get all nervous and then they give the wrong answers.
