Hey guys!
Yet more questions from me  Embarassed
Has anyone fed their dogs on Gusto?  It's a working dog food, and has no VAT.  So only £5-ish for 10kg.  Ive been recommended this for Ellie as the food she is on at the moment is very high in protein (25%) and we think this could be contributing to her problems.
I trust the person a lot who has told me about Gusto, but I cannot find any nutritional info anywhere

If anyone can help, that would be great!!!

I got a bag of this for Ellie, cost me £5.50 for a 10kg bag.  She absolutely loves it!
I checked the ingredients and nutritional info against her normal food, Beta, and I have to say that it is much better!  And 4% less protein, which is what I bought it for in the first place.  Brilliant stuff!   Very Happy

I use it for my dogs and haven`t had a problem with it.
They seem to like it and look good.

Ellie absolutely loves this stuff.  She had her 6 monthly MOT at the vets a couple of weeks a go and she's in perfect health and has even lost 1kg of her excess baggage  Very Happy
Brilliant food!  She's so fit and healthy and her fur is lovely.

My two are fed on Wagg Origional.

Its about 8.99 in Asda for a 17kg bag, occasionally 3kg free¬!!

They used to be on Wagg worker but this was giving them sloppy poo so I switched to Origional, Honey instantly startted loving food more and stools got more well shaped!

Overall it must be pretty good cos Honey is never usually fanatic about food!!! Since they are both still alive (only fed once a day) and considering I can feed both dogs for about 12 quid a month I consider this well worth buying!!

Hiya Gusto is made by the same people who make autarky. It is a reasonable dog food, ie. not too much c*** in it if your dog looks good on it thats brill. Its certainly better than beta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just out of curiosity how long have you had them on it?  All 3 of mine have had bad reactions to Wagg after a while of being on it.  Probably just coincidence but would definitely be interested if you get any problems.

I've fed all sorts.  Shadow started off on those Webbox roll type things and did great.  Then Chappie when we couldn't get those for a while.  Then we changed him to Wagg when we got Wolf.  Then to Vitalin when both had problems with Wagg.  Rupes had most of the dry foods on the market and either refused them completely or had problems with them  Rolling Eyes

They've been on it since the start of september. Like I said the worker didnt work out too well as Honey the anorexic dog only eats as much as she wants to and After a big or second of the day dummping it would come out like stiff porridge (pardon the metaphor).

I recommended it to a friedn, who bought Wagg origional, but they chose not to stay on it. In days I saw a remarkable hardening of stools so I used up the rest of the worker around early october and since then have been on origional!

It may be thaT your dog is allergic to the ingredients found in most dog foods. There are different options out there to help with this

Also if you are feeding them scraps from after the meal dogs can refuse normal food. This was the case I ended up with a small half bag of wagg origional

Rupes problem could be wheat or corn.  He's not been tested but since switching to a food with neither in he's eating better and not scratching more than most dogs do.  Scraps make a difference in how much he eats now but didn't before switching foods.

Shadow and Wolf didn't have a problem with any but Wagg.  Wolfs problems weren't severe but Shadows were, it seemed to trigger something like a minor seizure.  He started having seizures (along with other problems) at 7 after a head injury and on Wagg they came after each meal.  Possibly just something in it that triggered them somehow or just coincidence that they stopped coming after every meal when we switched foods.  We had other minor problems that we only really noticed after switching them from Wagg to Vitalin (itchiness, dull coats etc) but Shadow was the main concern.

Hi sarah sounds like wheat gluten intolerance, from which my dog suffers. Also included in the list is wheat, maize, corn, etc the only thing that doesnt effect her is barley
