Trivium

Just got their album and it's brilliant, if you want a taster of what they sound like, download "Pull Harder on the Strings of the Martyr". Best heavy band to come out of the US since Metallica. And despite being a die hard Metallica fan (up until black album), I would pick Trivium over them on my mp3 player. Might just be because they're fresh though.
For (much) softer stuff, I've seen a couple of All American Rejects songs on the Kerrang channel, only a couple though, but I like them. And I've got the latest Foo Fighters album, and The Darkness' new one too. Tip of the top, crip of the crop.
As for GnR, dont hold your breath about those live shows. Knowing Axl of recent years, he probably wont turn up. And he's the only original member in the line up *lol*
I tend to get most of my songs as single Napster downloads, then buy the album if I like more than a couple of them on it. So for example, I could say I like My Chemical Romance, but I've only heard two of their songs....
