About time somebody took some action against these puppy farmers.
Well it wont be KC trying to eliminate them, the only legislation KC would want is when it has a commercial valuse to them, KC has lost massive credibilty with DEFRA over this past 3 or 4 years, GOOD.
Unfortunately it's virtually impossible to regulate, and it would be too costly to introduce DNA testing to prove parentage.
It is highly adequatly regulated in every country in Europe except this one, the regulation is regulated by the breed registration club, KC is the UK breed registration club and its working dogs are not recognised at international level because it has no compusory tests.
DNA is only one of several tests which are compusory in many countries in Europe with their working dogs, yes, the tests are expensive and the working tests takes lots of training time, it is also expensive.
There is no incentive to breed working breeds in Europe unless you are totaly commited to the breed and its health and temprament, the breed registration clubs ensure that, if you dont pass all the tests the dog does not get a fit for breeding licence, no fit for breeding licence the pups cannot be registered by the breed registration club.
The very people who run the kennel club are the farmers.... FACT>>>>
Yes and I amazed at how easily some naive and vulnerable people are brainwashed into believing otherwise. KC has a glossy magazine cover and some gullible people just promote it and all thats bad in the UK dog world, who suffers, the dogs which these people claim to have some care for.
Maybe those 'supporters' should consider all the dogs which this morning and every morning were prematurely PTS because of herditory disorders, those which are in pain as I write for the same reasons and all of which areperpetuated by KCs no standards in breeding.
