I can also confirm that the KC are not going to accept the breed.  This was said by an ***** on the Crufts TV program and it shouldn't have been as it's totally untrue.  His father also states that they are healthier than pedigrees and don't have HD and he's a vet, funny that because the originator of this cross stopped doing it many years ago because of the health problems and the kind of people going into them!!!

Funny how so many wrong things can be said on TV programs as I believe his father was still promoting them on a TV program last week!

labradoodles are not a breed, they are a "cross".

The KC has not, is not and has no intention of registering them on a breed register.................

What's the difference between a labrador and a labrador retriever?

I always thought that a Golden/Black Labrador and a golden Retriever were two separate breeds?

i.e the golden/black lab being slightly shorter and chunkier than the slimline Golden Retriever  ??: ??:

Joker. There is no such thing as a golden lab. Its Yellow, Black or Chocolate. The correct name is Labrador retriever. However the yellow in some countries can be varying degrees of this.
Golden retriever is a seperate breed. The retriever is simply what the dog does. Hope that makes sense?
