my 30 lb pup swallowed a plastic eye from a stuffed animal. This was 48 hours ago. we decided to see if it wuld pass through. It has not yet. but hes been eating, playing, and going to the bathroom as usual. no problems, or pain. wheres the eye????

I'm sure it'll pass out but why don't you ring your vet for some advice...............if it was small you may have missed it!!

sounds horrible, but in order to ensure it has come out the other end safely, you should be digging through his poo.... if not an xray maybe in order.... but if it was small enough, it may well have gone from his system.  Keep an eye (sorry, no pun intended!!) on him incase he starts showing signs of not being well....

Id phone your vet just for advice, it probably pass through soon but if its sharp it may scratch or tear his insides so keep a close eye on him.

When mine was a pup i was forever finding strange things in his poo....He once swallowed a bow from a teddy and it was pretty big, and that came out (dunno how).  Shocked

thanks for the replys.

yea, i have a feeling i may have missed it. its been four days and he goes to the bathroom as usual and shows no signs of distress at all. it wuldnt take this long right?
