We have had a hard three months.  We lost our beloved Barnaby (11 1/2 year old Rotti) in November, which was hard enough, then three months later, just four weeks ago, we lost our beloved Gizmo (11 year old cross Mastiff/Boxer) too.  I am still really upset and miss them terribly (I am getting upset just typing this, as I have just been searching pics to post  Crying or Very sad)

I still can't think too much about them, as I end up crying.  I know I have two beautiful new furbabies to keep me entertained, but when you have had dogs for years, they become part of you.

I know anyone on here who owns dogs and has lost will totally understand, but a lot of people who haven't owned dogs and who don't like dogs just don't understand.   I recently had to explain to someone why I got so upset!!!!!!!!

I used the 'you have children scenario' - well my dogs are my children... and people are allowed to get upset if a child dies!!!

Sadly its the down side of owning pets.  and i too get  really upset as do most people who own dogs. However take comfort in that you gave them the best  in their time with you  and remember all the love  and pleasure they gave. Non doggy people dont  always understand us do they?

The only tragic part of owning a Doberman is that a part of you is buried with him when he dies.

reading ur post brought tears to my eyes....
i can see they was both georgeous.
just remember they will allways be with you, and that you did all you could to make their life a happy one, and that they gave you the same in return because they knew.

Im so sorry to here about your loss Sad....Its one of the hardest things i had to deal with and your very right non doggy people dont understand. I sometimes feel because they have been your loyal partner and best friend for all they years it can be harder to deal with than a person at times. Sad

Just try to keep busy and remember about the good times and laugh at the funny things they done. Be strong...My heart goes out to you. x
