So not too bad but last night Dooley and i got hit up the bum by another car when we were stationery last night he seems fine i just feel bruised, would you take him to the vet, i know i am neurotic!! Also do you think we should both go out for a little drive today even though i dont want too dont think he will care!.
Also recent piccies....

My new perch right by the window so i can see the cats, nope i am to lazy!!

if it was just a tiny bump I wouldn't bother... did he seem bothered after it? if he did it might be worth getting him in the car for a drive around, other wise he has probably forgotten it already.

He leapt over the into the front passenger seat partly on my head, but went back over fine and was good when we travelled the rest of the way home, think it's me with my bad back that does not want to go out anywhere, have to Sunday it's doggy beach day  |

i did exactly that after i had a very bad car crash , dog was with me. I took a short spin round an industrial estate just to make sure all was fine.And it was . Glad you are okx |

I had a bad car crash about six years ago learnt to walk again now have a leg brace and orthopaedic inserts for my shoes, cant run or do anything over exerting but am alive and greatful.
Think it just shook me up so much this time cos my little man was in the car i suppose, and i guess i never expected a car crash whilst being stationary i know it happens but...

Imagine what might have happened if he had been thrown through the windscreen and out on the road...................  |

Sorry smokey i should have been more specific.... Had a dog guard it came down, it is now dismantled in the garage think that coming down on his head scared him more than the shunt. His cage does not fit in the pug 206 and my diahatsu fourtrack where his cage fits is off the road at the moment i am afraid. (someone nominate me for pimp my ride a DDB mobile). No i am now looking into changing the pug to something else but alas these things happen, the RAC harness for car safety also dont go upto his size for him to sit up front would love some solutions i have not thought of. I made my mum change car and get a dog guard as i did not want two stone of staffie forcing her through the windscreen i certainly dont want 9 stone of DDb sending me through it either. Glad you are both ok.
Assess Dooleys reaction to the car very carefully, watch his body language and see if there is a problem. If not it's not going to do any harm to take him out in the car but make sure its a worthwhile journey for him and something really exciting happens at the end of a short journey.

Hi, I got a good car harness recently, and they do various different sizes. I believe it's one of he few companies that have had their harnesses assesed in trials. Not cheap, and they get sent over from switzerland, but it could be what you're looking for. http://www.canineauto.com/champion.htm |

Thanks for the link Dooley is proving quite a large DDB at almost 8 months we are due a weigh in next week so will let you know, but he exceeds most of the xxl on the market locally now so will have to get the measuring tape out and look at this, like stuff in pretty colours they dont tend to do them, i like purple on him he looks a big gay boy.
Well my oh just rang and wants us to colect him from work dont know whether to drive the same road or not, eek!!! Dooleys reward seeing daddy!!

Yep will order one it costs extra in the moonglow blue, may wait another month or so see i he is going to grow much more, i have a lovely collection of stuff he has grown out of in a couple of weeks!! Love the Dane in the back of the boot shot |

They were very prompt and relaible with my order, and even sent me a free collar when I pointed outt hat somethign wasn't working correctly on their website!!
