Well i took Rocky this morning to be neutered and when i collected him at 4 he was just a bit sleepy but as he had an allergic reaction on his tackle on wednesday and was rushed to the vet to get an exam and steroid injection and cream, he picked up an infection in his tackle due to the allergy, but it was agreed that he was fine to go ahead with the op anyway since around 8 he has cryed a lot and is resting for a few mins then crying a lot and of course lots of cuddles and such are soothing him, he has eating his dinner and peed i was just wondering how long can i expect him to cry for......i know every dog is different but how long have some of your dogs cried for??

He is on antibiotics for the infection and had painkillers obvioulsy earlier but you know what it is like when you have been told they will be uncomrfortable and suddenly they are and you hate hearing your best friend crying in pain

if he is as bad tomorrow should i give the vet a call and see what they suggest.

Sorry i know this topic came up a few weeks ago but i cannot find it anywhere and am worried bout him feel so bad that he is in pain.

Awwww, i know its really hard to see them distressed. Fortunatly my Benji did not bat an eyelid when he was done but Indy cried and moaned on and off for a few days when she was spayed, he will get better, if you are concerned then a phone call to the vet won't do any harm, thats what they are there for. Just give him lots of cuddles and love, your probably more upset about it than him.

Thanks for the advice Lara

He whined on and off during the night and kept bumping everything with his lampshade bless him, got up this morning and he was acting more of his usual self, although he desperately wants at his bits(or whats left of them)he had his anitbiotics this morning and is not whining and seems a bit happier....phew.. lay awake for ages watching him and soothing him. Hopefully now he is on the mend. His appetite is it's usual self lol i know there is somethin  wrong if Rocky goes off his food Wink

GSDs are drama queens, totally ridiculous when it comes to injury!
