Hi im new!

Im after a job, but im not sure what i want to do at the moment. The current qualifications i have are:

6 GCSEs
3 CoEAs
NVQ Level 1&2 in IT
National Diploma in Animal Management
Certified Microchip Implanter
VetMed Certified
OCN Certificates

and basic Veterinary Nursing experience and i have some experience with the Local Authority.

I have been thinking of working for the Guide Dogs or Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, but because i live in such a rural area i don't have much of a choice as far as jobs. Im currently doing my NVQ Level 2 in Animal Care to pass some time and gain some more experience.

Im just confused as what i am capable of doing with these qualifications, can anyone offer any ideas.

I'd really appreciate some ideas or any information :)

Thanks,

Rebel

Can I just ask what is it that makes you want to become a breeder?

You already seem to have qualifications pointing you towards a vet nurse, you could become fully qualified with that. I applied for guide dogs for the blind, dogs for disabled, and hearing dogs for the deaf, if I remember correctly, one of them requires you have a degree with something closely related to dogs, I think it was guide dogs for the blind. If you do want to work with any of those kind of roles, then I'd suggest trying to get some higher level qualifications ideally along the lines of dog behaviour.
You could always consider training to be a dog groomer maybe?

As a career?

Rebel, I think you're probably going about this the wrong way. If I were you, I'd sit down and decide exactly what I want to be then find out what qualifications I need for it as that's generally easier than finding a job to suit random qualifications. If you're not sure what you want to do, you might even consider taking time out and spending it as a dog au pair abroad while you take stock of your life.

Grooming sounds like a good idea, especially if you're the kind of person who would like the chance to be self-employed.

Good luck with your future, whatever you choose :)
