Hi all,

I have just brought my first dog (Cavalier). I recently took him to the vets for routine treatments (booster jab, worming etc). I didn't realise how expensive it all is. A friend of mine said that there were, around 10 years ago, free vet clinics. Is this still the case?? I'm looking for free vet services around Cambridgeshire. If I could get the routine treatments free then great but my main concern is if he needs anything majorly expensive.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ben.

Did you find anywhere Ben? The only potentially free vets I have heard of are the PDSA clinics, although they are for people on benefits/low incomes I believe. They're a fantastic service, and although they will treat animals for free, they do rely on donations also - even a quid or two helps more animals :)

Here's their link:

Edited to add - I'll lock this one, and the others, apart from the one in Health. For future reference please only post your message once, on the appropriate forum, not on all of them
