Maltese

In a few months I plan to get my 4th and final dog, a little girl. I'm not sure yet if I will get another yorkie or a different breed. I have always loved malteses and wondered if anyone has one or has any experience with them?

I have 2 maltese Laura. They are very similar to Yorkshire terriers (I used to have one before I married). They are a fun little dog, but do require a lot of grooming. I think one would fit in very well with your 3.

Thanks for the info here and in the pm MJ, you have been very helpful. I definatly think one would be right for me, the grooming woulden't be a problem as I already spend alot of time doing the yorkies, especially Ben as he has a soft/wooly coat which is a nightmare lol ;D

hiya.
one of my very best friends used to have yorkies, but couldnt face another one when she lost her last girlie. so she now has 3 rescue maltese from maltese rescue. they are great dogs. ;D but very fiesty. she also has 2 staffs and they are bullied by the little ones ;D

Yeah I do like them, I think i'm set on a Maltese though. When I first considered getting a different breed to a Yorkie I wanted a Biewer but then found out that they don't really exist in the UK yet! lol ;D

Ha Ha. There is an article in this months Dogs Today mag on a maltese who saved a chiauwa (SP) its quite sweet!
