I was just wondering if anyone could share any information on TTouch. I am interested in working on this with my dogs, although they don't have a particular problem I am trying to cure. I just think it would be nice to pamper them a bit when they are laying with me on the sofa! Any info on how to begin would be appreciated.

TTouch is a wonderful combination of spiritual and message therapy for working and relating with your dog.
It is very similar to a 1970's theory called Energetics. A belief that by finding the calm and peace within you, it can be translated to your dog through touch.
I have used it with my dogs and it is wonderful both for them (they love it) and for me. I've also used it on other dogs and had great calming results - on conformation dogs to get rid of anxiety before entering a show ring and obedience dogs to calm and focus them.
By typing "Tellington Touch" into your search engine, there are many great sites.

Hi Tmink29, I'm new to this forum and am also interested in TTouch.
Don't know if I'm stating the obvious by mentioning the recent book Linda Tellington-Jones has out called "Getting in Touch with your Dog" It's the book I've been waiting for as it's tailored for us dog lovers. :)
Her first book The TTouch is also a great read and has the techniques in it for getting started.
As a complementary therapist I'm always interested in learning new ways to help my dog in natural ways, and have practised a bit of TTouch on a few animals with good results.
Hope this is helpful, Best wishes WestWolf :)

I am training to be a TTOUCh equine practitioner and attend courses at Tilley Farm in Bath. They do hold companion animal courses and there are various dog workshops around the country. Take a look at www.tilleyfarm.co.uk
www.ttouchtteam.co.uk
This will give you lots of info.
