does anyone know anything much about papillons? i groomed one today called poppy and she was the sweetest most well behaved little girlie!!

Lucky you - the papillon I groomed a while ago would have taken my fingers off given half a chance - 'orrible little thing he was!! LOL! Don't anything else about them.

Yes, my mum has one and it is nearly 16 years old, partially blind, stone deaf and pretty near toothless, but as fit as a fiddle and a cantankerous old thing :) especially when Louie tries to play with her LOL

Also my brother has adopted many over the years from Pap Rescue and he currently has the worlds biggest PAP... or at least he must be a contender... he is a lovely dog :) but he's huge :eek: The Paps always get on very well with his Sams (which he is also on the rescue list for and has two rescues living with him currently)

I was quite suprised that our local but well renound trainer, in the area has changed over to a Pap for her agility/obedience HWTmusic dog. When I saw it work with her, I was totally mesmorised; it was truly a star. She said that she get another tomorrow but added something else not quite so complimantary about her hubbie. :listen:

Slap them about a bit!! Joke - honest!!

Generally have very quick hands and if necessary - muzzle! Although that is my last option. I usually ask the owner if they are aggressive whilst being groomed and if yes - I ask if I can treat whilst grooming - reward good behaviour and ignore bad - I do that with all breeds. I have a very trying Tibetan Terrier at the mo who I am part grooming and part training - he is a horror!

I do believe the Pap is a spaniel, is it not? That's all I know. :D

All small dogs can get complexes if their owner's lack will power when bringing them up.

I know little about them but I think they are beautiful little dogs, louiesdad I cant believe your brothers dogs have a play room!! (I love his sammie!)

Lol- they love their playroom. . and with three kids in the house it gets a little hectic so it is a great place for the dogs to get out of the way :)
