Check out caninespirit.com. They make stuff for working dogs and although they dont make 'wellingtons' they do make boots. They are not a cheap option but they may be of assistance. It does get you down when you are cleaning all the time and you don't feel like there is any let up. Especially when the weather is crap. Here in Wales it is abysmal from Autumn til at least early summer, but I have the luxury of a doggie conservatory til they are dry enough to let them into the rest of the house. I know exactly how you feel.

Thanks for all your suggestions! all of these boots on the market are so complex it wud take ages to just get them off and clean, I am working on a prototype involving sandwich bags and elastic bands, will let you all know when I have a patent pending

Old towel - cheap and cheerful Just a rub down when they come in.

Wendy has it sorted - each foot lifted to wipe, then roll onto back so I can do belly - and then she gets to play tug with the towel....she likes that bit

I wipe 48 feet during wet weather. If they are really muddy then they dunked in a bowl of water first.

Far quicker and cheaper than kitting out 48 feet with shoes

To be honest, if it's too much hassle to do, then the sensible option is to change the grass/muddy area by laying slabs or similar

I think I'd just give up on carpets and keep a mop handy lol.
