I hope Tesco go bust.
Couldn't agree more - their ethics (or lack of them, to be more accurate) are totally c**p. They're taking over everywhere and promoting themselves as "providing local jobs" - KB's post demsonstrates what these local jobs consist of i.e. part time contract but having to regularly work full-time without any of the security/benefits.

Another Tesco-hater in the north

Having the choice of a medium sized Tesco and an overpriced, small and frustrating Morrisons (and those 7 and a half miles away), or the alternative of a 70 mile round trip to Asda, Tesco wins hands down . Hated it when I had a choice of supermarkets, but as it's the only viable choice here (not counting the very expensive smaller ones and a Lidle with very rude staff and understocked), it has to get my vote.

I've bought 7 LOL 2 x rowan, 2 x twisted willow, 2 x wild cherry, 1 x silver birch.. I'm sure I can find a home somewhere for them, in the meantime I'm going to bed them down in the field, I'll put a barbed wire fence round them to keep the cows off, til we find there permenant home

The joy of living somewhere where there is a choice! We have Co-ops (downright rude/thick staff) a small Sainsburys 15 minutes drive away, or a 40 minute drive to a Tesco/Morrisons/Asda. I like Sainsbury's, but it is a small one, and as a veggie, their range isn't great. So, I venture out into the big wide world sometimes (or get Tesco to deliver ;0 ), and I tend to mix and match, as they have different things (veggie wise).
