Red face Gypsy's had her first season

Well, I thought it was going to be a complete nightmare, it thought i'd have to seperate he and oscar and there would be blood spots everywhere.

Niether!

She very kindly decided to come into season the first weekend in two years that i decided to go to devon on my own and leave them at home with my OH!

Oscar paid no interest in her at all! He sniffed her and that was about it, not even an attempt at mounting her!

I bought her some little girls knickers and some cheap pantyliners and she quiet happily ran around the house in them and waited for them to be taken off and put back on when i let her out for a wee.

there has only been one odd (and disgusting) habbit she seems to be doing while she has been in season and that is eating her or oscars poo.

Now she has only done this since she has been in season - is this normal?

for the record, she has been out on the lead when walked but i'll admit i have picked her up if we came across another dog just to be safe - she's only little and didn't wanna risk and accident (didn't have pants on when walking incase needed to do anything)

I've got the other end of the bitch in season prob at the mo... Benny's gone doolallly over the last few days 'cause there's a bitch somewhere near by in season.. He's running round the house whinging and whining 24/7. Has given up eating etc. On walks he's in sniffy overdrive scenting everything he can get at. So Benny's big baws are on borrowed time I think!

TBH i think oscar is gay.

Before he had the chop he used to hump every dog in the park as long it was male - even though he ALWAYS went for the head end!

So the fact that he's not even the slightest bit interested in Gypsy only proves that he likes boyz!

Nope - it proves that he likes neither

remember he is no longer 'male' in the true sense of the word so wouldn't show any sexual interest anyway..

I hope you have more luck than we did with Teasle as she came back into season twice after her first season.. about 6 weeks or so after and then again a few weeks later. We have had to have her spayed a little earlier than we would have as the Vet was worried that she may have underlying issues. Thankfully she is now spayed and so far everything seems ok.
