Default Call for Responsible Dog Ownership in Scotland

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) is calling on dog owners to help promote the spirit of the Outdoor Access Code (OAC) when they take their animals walking in the countryside. A new campaign is launched today by Environment Minister Michael Russell to persuade hundreds of thousands of dog owners across Scotland to ensure they know the Code guidelines for responsible behaviour when they take their dogs into rural areas...

I can think on better ways for the scottish parliament to use there money!!! This was all done last year too, big tv campaign to go with it, and loads of leaflets everywhere... Personally I put an OAC leaflet in every doggy welcome basket I produce... But as per, thse that are likely to adhear to the code will, those that won;t an msp and a new leaflet won't influence!!!

But...But...Leaflets are the answer! Consistant rewriting and offering of guidance drawn up by a chosen few who are more and more removed from the core issue, cut down a few more trees . In the end global warming will kill us all and the problem will be solved!...Thats how to do it! Leaflets will change the world!

The leaflet is the new 'law'. Where we used to introduce laws and enforcement to achieve results, now we use the almighty power of the leaflet. Thinking about killing someone? Wait, for I have a leaflet that will explain why you shouldn't. Thinking about poisoning your partner? Stop, a leaflet will detail the pros and cons.

The leaflet, it's the new answer to the social problems of modern Britain. Embrace it.

Maybe someone should write up a leaflet on the power of the leaflet so people like Kaz arent so confused. They could then issue a leaflet that explains when an explanitory leaflet should be drawn up in future to avoid further confusion.
